Rhode Island Yacht Club

The Rhode Island Yacht Club is a private club, surrounded by Stillhouse Cove, in historic Edgewood, Rhode Island.

Our contemporary clubhouse and facilities include a break-water protected marina and an expansive mooring field, all less than three miles from downtown Providence.

Founded in 1875, it is the oldest yacht club on Narragansett Bay and among the oldest yacht clubs in the country. The Rhode Island Yacht Club maintains a long history and strong traditions of competitive racing and giving back to the community.

The marina has a hoist, break water protected slips with electricity and water, moorings, dinghy dock, launch shuttle, pump-out station, and showers and changing facilities among other amenities. There are tables, picnic tables and gas grills for on-shore meals overlooking the bay.

Our clubhouse is only steps away from historic Pawtuxet Village with shopping, dining, nightlife and so much more. The Club operates year-round, with Club racing, Club cruises, fishing tournaments, inter-club events and many other social activities too numerous to mention. The newly renovated Clubhouse features panoramic views of Narragansett Bay and offers both formal and informal dining. The facility is available to be rented for private events upon request.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website. If you are in the area, a tour of our facilities can be arranged. To learn about the possibility of membership in Rhode Island Yacht Club, please visit the membership page.
